We keep these short and sweet so I won’t use up too much of your time here. Without further ado:

October ?? – The End of Cricket Music! Who can predict when the beautiful waves of cricket chirping will come to a close here at the end of the year as our nights grow colder? It’s a different date every year when I’m out for a late evening stroll and suddenly notice the night is silent. All I can say with certainty is that right now (October 8) they are still in full swing and make a perfect lullaby. If a good sleep environment is important to your camping experience, then take advantage of these little creatures while they’re still “in the mood for love!”

October 14 – Annular Solar Eclipse! This is happening at 9:30 am so you’ll want to make sure you get booked at least by October 13 so you’ll have this special event to wake up to!

October 31 – Halloween! I mean this is self-explanatory, man. If you like to celebrate by doing cool things, all I can say is that camping at The Spark is pretty cool. Oh, and also Halloween will only be a couple nights on the other side of the full moon on October 28, so the landscape will still have that other-worldly quality that only the crisp, clean light of an ultra bright moon can create!
