Special Event: Stargazer Shindig!

Date: Saturday, May 11th
Time: Starts around 8:00 pm

Hey there, Sparklers! Attention all comet chasers, curious cosmonauts, and anyone who digs a chill night under the stars: A Spark in the Dark Campground is throwing a Stargazer Shindig on May 11th, and it’s gonna be epic!

A cool evening breeze, chirping crickets, and a sky full of twinkling stars – this will be the perfect escape from the everyday. Our awesome neighbor and local celestial Rockstar Al Schober, is gonna be our guide on this cosmic adventure. He’s super passionate about space and loves sharing his knowledge with people.

Al will be showing us all sorts of cool stuff – a brand new crescent moon, star clusters that look like celestial fireworks, galaxies so far away they’ll blow your mind, and even some double stars!

The best part? This Stargazer Shindig is totally free for campers at The Spark! Just bring your own refreshments, a comfy spot to sit (a folding chair or a picnic blanket works great), and your sense of wonder. Al’s doing this completely free of charge just for the love of the cosmos, but feel free to tip him if you feel like his knowledge bombs are out of this world!

Escape the city lights, unplug from the digital world, and get ready to be amazed by the universe. Make sure you reserve a site for the night of May 11th, and we’ll see you under the stars!

Your humblest hosts,

Clifford the Dudeist and Sandy Dog

  1. I’m so exhausted from staying up most of the night watching the aurora borealis and been out all day. Are you all setting up with the clouds ? I’d probably just ride a quad over and come the back way across Partridge Creek . Once I get to Lind’s place which way do I go?

    1. Actually I would stay tuned. I’ll be updating the post on my Facebook page for the campground but we may end up rescheduling this. Al will be making the call in about another hour or so. I’m not exactly sure how to describe how to get here from partridge creek. I just know that it’s basically a straight shot from my place following Haywire to the south where I eventually run into the creek. I wish I was more familiar with the area back there!
